Birth and Postpartum Doula
and Massage Practitioner
I am the proud mother of two wonderful grown children, who were both born naturally. We moved to Marin County from Los Angeles in the summer of 1989.
I feel divinely led to this vocation and working as a doula is a natural companion to my massage practice.
My massage training began in February 2000 at Heartwood Institute. In my ongoing quest for knowledge in healing and bodywork, I studied pregnancy massage at Alive & Well Institute for Conscious Bodywork, which opened the door to becoming a doula.
I did my Birth Doula training in April 2007 with Felicia Roche and have done two Postpartum Doula trainings, the first with Tracy Massillon at Natural Resources in San Francisco and another with Juli and Nicki Tilsner of Cornerstone. I love learning and enjoy attending workshops and connecting with other passionate birth and perinatal professionals.
In June of 2008, I attended a midwives assistant training at The Farm. I feel blessed and lucky to have had the pleasure and privilege to be there when one of my greatest heroes, the internationally acclaimed midwife, author and founder of The Farm, Ina May Gaskin, was home and teaching some of the curriculum.
I am familiar with a variety of birthing styles and feel comfortable supporting women in whichever method they most resonate with. I recognize that each and every birth is a unique experience. My goal is to provide loving and non-judgemental support, to meet you wherever you are and help you to achieve a positive birth experience.
It is my intention to hold a sacred space for you and your baby, while guiding and empowering you on this amazing, transformative journey.
